Musician, Teacher, Holistic Voice Therapist
Naomy has been working with sound all her life – singing before she was talking (so her mother says) and as a child her favourite activities were singing and dancing. She has been working with sound healing for almost 20 years, since first experiencing a didgeridoo massage. Working mostly intuitively, realising that the power of drums, rattles and sacred voice work were in her blood from lifetimes but also informed by sound healing texts from such teachers as Jonathan Goldman, Dielle Ciesco and James D’angelo, Naomy has been offering experiential workshops around the country and at festivals for a number of years. She has also studied with shamanic teacher Sandra Ingerman and healing voice teacher Jill Purce.
Now taking her sound journey further, she has been undertaking training in the BAST method of sound therapy, studying Holistic Voice Therapy, Drum Therapy and Group Voice Therapy. It is a different way of working but one which she has found to be deeply transformative and is both humbled and excited at its potential for very deep work. She has a degree in music and psychology, teaches piano, cello and voice and also has training in counselling, NLP, hypnosis and lifemusic.
