Sorrell has been working in complementary medicine since 1996, training as a Medical Herbalist with a BSc Honors degree, she also has diplomas in Advanced Hypnotherapy & Hypnohealing, Clinical Aromatherapy & Therapeutic Massage, Advanced Reiki and has trained with several schools in Shamanic Healing. She is a professional member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the Corporation of Advanced Hypnotherapy and International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists.

Sorrell is also a lecturer on Complementary Medicine for Thames Valley University & runs her own workshops for groups on herbal medicine, aromatherapy & massage, hypnotherapy & shamanic healing in London and across the UK. Sorrell also practices at the Shoreditch Spa in Old Street.

Sorrell is a published author, her most recent book is 'Herbal remedies: how to make, use & grow them.' This offers an introduction to the art of herbal medicine, with details of herbs useful for a range of ailments, explaining how to obtain, prepare and use them.
